The Weaver's Studio. July 8, 2015. June 29, 2015. Tonight I cut off of my loom what has been, without a stitch of embellishment, the finest piece of weaving I have ever done. The sett was perfect. The hand, indescribable. The structure, subtle enough to be present but not overwhelming. And after 12 inches of weaving, I cut it off. All 500 odd ends of yarn, 3 yards long, painstakingly wound and measured, threaded and tensioned. Gone, in the blink of a satisfied scissor’s snip. You have your house keys....
