Tonya2India... again!: Rickshaw!
http://tonya2india-again.blogspot.com/2009/12/rickshaw.html
Thursday - 8pm IST. I got my auto-rick “fix” today. About 60 cents will get you across town with an open-cab view of the city on the back-side of a glorified motorcycle pulling a built-on shell of a two-seater cab. My Retail Diva is eager for me to have something stitched – and it would be rude of me not to accept her hospitality. (. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tonya2India: Homesick :-(
http://tonya2india.blogspot.com/2007/10/homesick_19.html
Friday, October 19, 2007. The flight was great – I was quite impressed with Jet Airways. First time in six years I’ve enjoyed a full-service meal with REAL silverware on a plane… :-). Upon arrival, I checked in straight away to my hotel. Oh, my gracious… I’m not going to discuss further because I know my Mom is reading this…). I have my luggage, Mom… everything is GREAT! Tonya2India: October 2007
http://tonya2india.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 25, 2007. The flight home was uneventful – except for the fact that there was no one in the seat next to me, which is always like getting an early Christmas gift. They did misplace one of my checked luggage pieces – but it was delivered to my house 4-5 hours later. Many have expressed interest in my photos. I have posted all of them to Picasa. If you’d like to see the entire portfolio, they’re available via the following link:. Http:/ picasaweb.google.com/TonyaJLong. Last Day in Delhi.

Tonya2India: Life is in the Journey, Not the Destination
http://tonya2india.blogspot.com/2007/10/life-is-in-journey-not-destination.html
Monday, October 15, 2007. Life is in the Journey, Not the Destination. I love your comment about not being able to take the country out of the girl. Only you could appreciate my comment to a group of "citified" young married couples recently."At age 10, I helped a cow give birth". This after I had just come from the office, where I, too, am "citified". Hope you are having a blast! October 16, 2007 at 10:31 AM. October 16, 2007 at 3:42 PM. October 16, 2007 at 8:15 PM. Tonya2India: Jaipur - The Pink City
http://tonya2india.blogspot.com/2007/10/jaipur-pink-city.html
Sunday, October 21, 2007. Jaipur - The Pink City. I fly out tonight at midnight, so I won't be posting again until I wrap this up when I'm back in Tennessee. Hope you have enjoyed. Oh, my goodness. After a terribly long drive back from Agra last night, I woke at 3:30am this morning to prepare for my flight to Jaipur. I think I snored on the plane. :-). From there, we spent the. Jaipur is unlike Bangalore, Mysore, Delhi, or Agra. Jaipur has HILLS! The fort was beautiful, including a lovely temple fully-de...

Tonya2India: The Minimalist Approach Continues
http://tonya2india.blogspot.com/2007/10/minimalist-approach-continues.html
Thursday, October 11, 2007. The Minimalist Approach Continues. Luggage Update - Friday morning, India:. Frustration, Amazement, but Still No Luggage. Otherwise… one of the local managers showed me around last night to some touristy places here in Bangalore. We went to MG Road – that would be. Sounds like a lovely time, even without luggage! Thanks for the e-mail. Not sure what religion you might be looking into there, but rub something and pray hard for your clothes to be brought! We all miss you! Jaipur...

They said you were back. Wednesday – 7am IST. US Secret Service) and monitoring and communicating my every move… including when the Diet Coke can has run dry. Many folks at home ask if I feel safe when I travel – and I do. But being here reminds me that I could never be in harm’s way, because if I were out of sight for more than ten minutes, they’d be issuing an Amber Alert! They said you were back. Tonya2China: Well.... here we GO!
http://tonya2china.blogspot.com/2008/02/i-leave-early-tomorrow-morning-on.html
Thursday, February 14, 2008. Well here we GO! I leave early tomorrow morning on another wonderful (work-sponsored flight) journey! It’ll take nearly 30hrs of travel time to reach my initial destination of Beijing. We have a company holiday on Monday, so I wasn’t about to travel 30hrs across Tues/Wed for meetings at the end of next week… (No disrespect intended for my highly-respected colleagues I’ll be meeting up with after my “touring” is completed! But I gotta SEEEEEEE some things! The time difference ...

Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Day 3 Morning - Summer Palace and Beijing’s Giant Pandas. But this is winter. Still – there are many people visiting Summer Palace to see its beautiful murals on the long covered corridors, and to enjoy the crisp outdoors. I love the architecture pics on all your entries. And cute animals are just a bonus! What a trip you're having! February 19, 2008 at 10:36 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All China Photos (Picasa). Well here we GO! Saved by the Long Johns!

Tonya2China: February 2008
http://tonya2china.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2008. PS All luggage arrived intact. I'm home free now! Last Day in Beijing. My guide, Rina, said we had seen the whole city… She said if I had stayed another day, that we’d have to go out to the ‘burbs to see how the non-city folks live… We started the morning late since there were only a couple of stops on the itinerary – which was fine by me, as I had packing to do. So – here’s the silk story. After my silk shopping soiree (and a soiree it was! As in: “Like my new pearls? They ...
