Tuesday - 15-June, 11pm. What’s the old saying about “coming in like a lamb or a lion”? Well, honey… my Mama didn’t raise no lamb! I arrived home-home tonight at the LaLit Ashok. I swear it looked and sounded like a Mardi Gras parade! My luggage made for a sizable parade float, of course, and I was in full Diva mode. I made lots of noise from the moment I drove up, hanging out of the still-moving car shouting “Hi, honey, I’m h-o-o-o-o-o-o-m-e! June 18, 2010 at 3:53 PM. He says you got that right. LOL.

I don’t know quite how to articulate this, but I love being some place SOOOOO different than home… and yet it being so much like home that I fall right back into old comfortable routines. Now off to work; it’s 8:45 and I’m sure Murgon has my car waiting. Hopefully last night’s Mardi Gras parade got some of the mojo out of my system and I can settle in today and get some things done. Friday - 18-June, 11pm. The guys from the office took me to the Hard Rock Cafe tonight… The menu was probably 80% the same as the Hard Rock franchises in the States - and all but one of us ordered beef. And it was good! We had a good fun time – I bought a willllld Hard Rock t-shirt (wearing it in the snaps below, under my new/cool leather jacket)… and of course bought the classic standard Hard Rock t-shirt as well. I arose early – lots to do… and the party continued. Though it wasn’t on the breakfast buffet, the team scrounged up a gulab jamon and brought to my table. Who would have ever thought Bangalore could be a little piece of Heaven? We returned to the hotel for dinner. Sareen joined us and he and we enjoyed a fabulous lamb and prawn dinner along with another reunion with my Baluchi Boys. There was a ton of traffic at the hotel – for a birthday party for a two-year old! These people sure know how to entertain!

The LaLit Ashok - Transformed! The hotel has been ablaze with activity this week in preparation for the big anniversary celebration on Friday night.
