My Life as a Trauma Mama: Negative Attention-Seeking Behavior

http://traumamamat.blogspot.com/2011/12/negative-attention-seeking-behavior.html

My Life as a Trauma Mama. By "Trauma Mama T". Thursday, December 15, 2011. However, since we’re also raising traumatized kids, we expected some trauma monsters to rear their ugly heads, even as we celebrated. Boy, they sure did. Then, there was my 13-year-old daughter. She’s usually the easier of the two younger kids to handle, but this celebration (and another issue I’ll tell you about tomorrow) set her off, and we’re still in the midst of the muck. LOVE that ER doctor! Trauma sucks buckets of rocks!

My Life as a Trauma Mama: 25 (more or less) Things to Keep Your Hyper-Vigilant Teen Busy Over Spring Break

http://traumamamat.blogspot.com/2012/02/25-more-or-less-things-to-keep-your.html

My Life as a Trauma Mama. By "Trauma Mama T". Thursday, February 23, 2012. 25 (more or less) Things to Keep Your Hyper-Vigilant Teen Busy Over Spring Break. I’m not looking forward to the possibility that my kids (or one of my kids). Will become dysregulated due to the lack of routine. I know I cannot afford my youngest kids the freedom to come and go during the break like I could with their older brothers. (That would be way too scary and trigger their abandonment issues big time.). Helpful Things to Do.

We immediately became very excited about the possibility and pursued this baby by contacting an attorney and beginning the home study process and even corresponding with this girl. Ultimately she decided to parent, and while we wer...
