The school commenced life in November 1915 as Kintyre Technical School and was founded at Southend, Kintyre with 18 boys and 2 masters. Glasgow Zoo (Calderpark Zoo). Video of Bear Pit. Glasgow Zoo, or Calderpark Zoo as it was also known, was opened in 1947 on the former Calderpark Estate. It was run by the Zoological Society of Glasgow and West of Scotland, which was formed in 1936. The Calderpark Estate was created by James McNair, a wealthy Glasgow Sugar Refiner who built his home there around 1815. The Zoological Society of Glasgow and West of Scotland took an option to purchase the estate in 1939. More photographs can be found HERE.

The following photographs cover Pollokshaws as a whole and are from a publicity board from 1960. The 1957 report also states that there were 120 shops as well as 10 public houses. There is a concierge station which serves these flats and monitors the 24 hour CCTV system. A plan of a typical apartment in this development can be found in Fig34. Final resting places and urban decay. July 25, 2013. Located at Jackson Ave. and Crane St. in Long Island City,. Is a unique destination for tourists and New Yorkers alike. Recently featured in the movie "Now You See It," it is a large building totally covered with graffiti (as well as dumpsters, lamposts, and sidewalks).
