During our Apple and Pumpkin Fest. Weekends, children, even Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa can paint their own gourds. Cost: $1/gourd. We provide the paint for free! It's been a good year so far for the crops. Each apple variety will be harvested about a week earlier than normal this year. We expect to start picking Zestar and Redfree next week. Pumpkin plants are huge, sprawling and full of blooms thanks to the more than 6 inches of rain received in July. Rain was very welcome since June was extremely dry for us - less than 1.5 inches.
