Sweet Summer Corn | icookforleftovers
https://icookforleftovers.wordpress.com/2015/06/07/sweet-summer-corn
Farmer’s Market Find: Peaches, and How to Freeze Them. →. June 7, 2015. I’ve always wondered how the Cajuns removed corn from the cob that resulted in a pan full of corn and milk. As if someone had literally poured cream into the corn. Creamed corn. But, how do you do that? If you remove as much kernel from the cob (do the most logical thing, obviously), you are doing it all wrong. And, it’s why you need to get a lot. As in a lot. As in, 10 dozen? My favorite part of this experience? I surely hope so.

Maple-glazed bacon, fried chicken on a biscuit, and a bespoke hash brown topped with braised short rib and carmelized onions all faired well in the savory category, as did some variety of pudding trifle on the sweet side. Less inspiring was the made-to-order s’mores. I was legitimately shocked at h...
