Ranch Wife Cooking

Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Okay, so my 25 salad challenge hasn't started yet, but I'm getting some practice in before the big start day arrives! Tonight I made tuna salad! It was soooo yummy! Simple, delicious, healthy. Just the way it should be. When I was taking a picture of the salad, Loralei was like,"Mama, take a picture of my sandwich! Take a picture of me eating! So, here are those pictures as well- per Loralei's request! 2- 5 oz. cans tuna, drained. 2 carrots, shredded or grated. 1 tbs light mayo.

Ranch Wife Cooking: Chili and Cornbread

http://www.ranchwifecooking.blogspot.com/2012/08/chili-and-cornbread.html

Monday, August 6, 2012. So, today I decided that even though it was 93 degrees outside, I wanted chili! It just sounded soooo good! Anyway, we like a lot of "stuff" added to our chili after it's made, so I have to make it pretty flavorful! There are a lot of ingredients, but it's worth it! You can't see it, but I like to put my cornbread (with lots of butter) in my bowl first,. Then spoon the chili on top- and top it off with sour cream and cheddar cheese. 1 onion, chopped. 1 green bell pepper, chopped.

Ranch Wife Cooking: Sour Cream Cheesecake

http://www.ranchwifecooking.blogspot.com/2012/08/sour-cream-cheesecake.html

Tuesday, August 7, 2012. This was my grandma's recipe (Margurite, my dad's mom). Making it brings me back to my childhood! I love the smells and tastes of this cheesecake and the crust! It's so rich and creamy. It's sure to be a big hit for you! Just don't make it too often- it will stick to your heart! Oh, my cheesecakes always crack. I usually try to cool them. Too quickly (because I'm always in a hurry), and that is when they crack. Chad called this one a crater. I punched him. 1 1/2 cups sugar. Garni...

Ranch Wife Cooking: Shredded Beef

http://www.ranchwifecooking.blogspot.com/2012/08/shredded-beef.html

Friday, August 10, 2012. This is a nice twist on a typical roast! It's a great recipe to have on hand if you are expecting company.or in my case, for any cow-related function! It's a big hit and SUPER easy to make! Who doesn't love slowcooker meals? Serve this with corn on the cob and homemade biscuits! The juice from the meat tastes so good soaked up by the miscuits! Sweet tea or lemonade with this really makes it a nice southern meal! 3-5 pound beef roast. 2-3 tsp. coarse salt. 1 tsp fresh ground pepper.

Ranch Wife Diaries

Jan 29, 2015. We’re about six weeks out from the “big day” and I keep having these little thoughts in my head! For some of you who know me, this may not be a big surprise, but these are different than my usual erratic thoughts!
