Chicken Piccata →. February 14, 2012. This salad is easy to throw together! I just used romaine, cherry tomatoes, and maple roasted bacon I had left over from breakfast. Bell pepper can be added for some crunch and goat cheese to add a creamy element. For the dressing, I made a spicy red wine vinaigrette. Just whisk together 1 teaspoon of dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, a small pinch of cayenne pepper, 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Every Mangalorean household may have it's own twist. It is very simple to make too. I like dishes that are quick to prepare and yummy to devour. 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder (I did not have it at hand so used 2 tsp regular hot red chili powder- Kashmiri chili powder will give you a nice paste and won't be super hot).
