The Peak Condition Project - Mike

Monday, November 9, 2009. Thing is, isn't like every treat in aisle 5 the same thing? Some fat, some sugar, some flavor. Why do people get grossed out at berries covered in crisco but chow down a Little Debbie cupcake? I say good luck to everyone else, this was fun, keep at it and enjoy life. Patrick, sorry about the delay, last week was.eventful. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. It's a hardboiled egg, a green onion and some ham, all chopped up together. What? How is that to go? Is this really my day 89 post?

The Peak Condition Project - Mike: Day 81

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-mike.blogspot.com/2009/10/day-81.html

Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Tomorrow when I go I'll have to poke my head in the gym so I can do my homework. Also, day EIGHTY ONE? The heck did that happen? October 20, 2009 at 7:18 PM. Dude, I used to work getting multilateral aid to the education sector of Turkmenistan. Did you just pull that out of your ass? October 20, 2009 at 8:47 PM. Do you know Iveta? Nah, for real a lot of comparative education is about Africa, but what isnt is about the post-Soviets, so yeah, thats what I read about.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. I know when I reach muscle failure when I can't drink my post work-out milk because the mug is too heavy to bring up to my mouth. From your day 60 post you're already reaching what I call muscle failure, which makes me wonder if I'm not really reaching muscle failure. Am I failing at failing? Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Day 60, [Tuesday] Motivational Movie. Two-thirds in and I'm bringing back the big motivation:. Thursday, September 24, 2009. Anyone else hate timed jumps?

The Peak Condition Project - Mike: Day 78

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-mike.blogspot.com/2009/10/day-78.html

Saturday, October 17, 2009. Back before this whole PCP thing, every couple of weeks I would eat my "mediterranean dinner". They're always talking on the news about the benefits of a mediterranean diet, right? Well, this is not that diet. What I did learn from the experience is that, while it was good, I also would of been fine with a big salad or Emily's Asian chicken or even a tuna fish sandwich. Which are all way better than me than salami and potato chips. So, even though my laziness is going ...The P...

The Peak Condition Project - Mike: July 2009

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-mike.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 27, 2009. What else what else? I already have a wonderful beautiful wife, so I don't have to impress any ladies. Wow, that was a tangent. Get used to them I guess. So I'm doing the PCP to get proper fit. I've been pretty fit a few times in the past. Biked a lot a few years ago when I did Bike and Build. Okay, that's enough for now I think. Bedtime. Good luck to all my fellow PCP'ers and thanks Patrick for maintaining this program for us. Tang’rciqamken, everyone! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Peak Condition Project - Mike: Day 83 - Goals Smoals

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-mike.blogspot.com/2009/10/day-83-goals-smoals.html

Thursday, October 22, 2009. Day 83 - Goals Smoals. The latest Zen is Stupid touched on something that I think about a lot. The discussion was about what we set goals for, and how goals themselves can become an attachment. As I near the end of my PCP, I thought I might reflect on this here. I've thought about this in two areas: fitness and education. I'll start with fitness. My goal with the PCP was to get in excellent shape, that I would carry through the winter. Do you see what's happened there? I've go...

The Peak Condition Project - Amy W: September 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-amyw.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 27, 2009. Finally took some photos.I really do not like getting my picture taken.and will also take one in the fab new dress! Until then, thought this was a lovely shot of the dress itself. Seriously, would NEVER have tried this on before. An Endorsement and I missed you guys! As we connected with folks, there were a few questions and comments that were heard quite often and most of all, I thought that the sleep deprivation would do me in. You see, as a new parent, there is so much you ...

The Peak Condition Project - Amy W: A lovely start to week 6

http://thepeakconditionproject-amyw.blogspot.com/2009/09/lovely-start-to-week-6.html

Sunday, September 6, 2009. A lovely start to week 6. A lovely start to week 6, and the labor day weekend. Not sure that I did the Pistol Squat right, but they were tough as can be. 1400 jumps, and the line up right after at the end of a glorious and simple day. Had a great walk and time with a friend on Friday afternoon. Hung out with the Mr and the girls on Saturday morning and late afternoon. Got clear again on some life priorities and staying true to who we are and how we want to live. The Peak Condit...

The Peak Condition Project - E: October 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-e.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 30, 2009. Today is all wrong. That just seems to be the best way to describe it. No jumps. No strength exercises. No measuring the food. No portion allotments. Nothing. Although I was loathe to do so, I took a break from the PCP lifestyle due to much encouragement for the contrary. I guess the best way to think of is as another experiment in indulgences. So, what have I snacked on so far? 8212Some swiss and munster cheese (about 7 pieces). 8212Two donut holes (a plain and a powdered).

Sunday, November 1, 2009. Day 92: End Title. Well, this is it&#8212my final post to this blog, which has been a part of my life for three full months. What can I say&#8212it has been an incredible journey! I know the question on everyone's mind is: "Did E manage to survive Halloween or was the temptation so great that he succumb to the delectable heavenly sweetness of sugar and carbs to the point where they had to roll him home like the Blueberry Girl from Willy Wonka. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Day 90: What's The Time? Sorry about that. Had to indulge my "superhero" fantasy. The Peak Condition Project - Jessica: August 2009

http://thepeakconditionproject-jessica.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 31, 2009. Guest post by my little sister (Day 31). 31 days ago Jessica said "NO! Her one time friends are now her foes. Fritos, Tostidos, and even Cheetos. Are now on her list of things to veto. She no longer channels Danny DeVito. She flexes her muscles and sticks out her bum. Coz diet and exercise are barrels of fun. V-sits, planks, lunges and squats. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. I'm no Superman (Day 60). Today I was walking home from the library past some apartment complexes when I smelled a strong concentration of natural gas. "That's odd," I thought. I waited for the smell to dissipate but it instead increased in intensity and spread up the street. I began debating what to do. Should I tell someone? Should I ignore it? I could save children! Do you know what that is across the street? They asked. "Uh.an electrical building? I've been flossing every...

The Peak Condition Project - Anshuman: Day 89 Or Day 84. PCP Blues !!

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Day 89 Or Day 84. PCP Blues! Just read E's entry for T-2. He is the Sean of our group. Am pretty excited for him and for everyone of us but i have done something which is pretty disappointing. It might have something to do with the fear of what lies beyond PCP but it could just be a rationalization that my mind is coming up with. Here is what happened. October 28, 2009 at 11:09 AM. Sunday, September 27, 2009. Day: 58. Too many Digressions. Champagne, Red Wine, Gratin - oh My! The usual weekly measurement. A glass of Champagne. A glass of red wine Chicken Stew. Just the smallest bit of pok choy you can imagine :). (This was the only PCP friendly stuff). Cheese Cake (Generous Serving) Dessert Wine. Even the PCP indulgence was not as bad as this one. My wife was nudging me to stop but i don't know what happened :). I did enjoy the food but the guilt came knocking right after. Seeing s...

Thursday, November 5, 2009. It's Been Real, It's Been Fun . But It Ain't Been Real Fun! My apologies: didn't mean to leave everyone hanging I've just been uh a little preoccupied and distracted. But I wanted to give my wrap-up on the PCP. In the simplest terms, I got to know myself better. My triggers in terms of what makes me sing and feel triumphant (checking off my little PCP to do list, really enjoying my meal) and what can derail me (the blues, routine interruption, feeling famished). Saturday, April 17, 2010. Day 93 - The Good, the bad, and the hungry. It's been 3 days since my Peak journey concluded, and I've been trying to wrap my head around it all. What a crazy trip this has been. I think the best way for me to summarize the past 90 days is by simply breaking it down. I figure I want to end on a positive note so I'll start with. In the end I came to love yogurt! I go through about a 1/2 gallon of skim milk a day. I absolutely love, love, love milk! I have seen the light. Not only...

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Well, we're 13 days past the 1 year anniversary of me starting the Peak Condition Project. My life would be so much different now without it.
