Thursday, April 15, 2010. Day 90 - Reflections and Rules for the Road. Well, first off -. WOW, am I glad I did PCP. Thank you Patrick and Chen and my fellow PCPers for all your help and encouragement. It has been a fantastic experience that I fully expect to stay with me in the weeks, months, and years to come. I stumbled across The Peak Condition Project. The biggest negative was that I very likely over-trained and was not motivated to do any. And remember that the bulk of the training is for the mind.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Day 90 - The Workout. So Patrick unveiled our workout for our last (sniff) PCP day. What a great idea - to go back to an early workout and repeat it. What a fantastic way to show us how far we've come. I went back to day 1. HA! I could have done that workout in a ball gown - I didn't break a sweat, and finished it in just about 10 minutes! The jump rope sets? Did them all at once, not tripping once. The pushups? That does hammer the point home :). April 14, 2010 at 4:36 AM.

But, for me, that's like waving a red flag and telling me not to look at it or telling an acrophobe not to look down. So I freaked out a little. Which was probably a good thing, as I got up half an hour earlier to knock the workout out of the way. I had thought to have a blog entry on my reflections on the project thus far - surprised, good and bad, and obstacles expected and unexpected. So I weighed in today- I know I'm not supposed to be checking my weight, but my scale has a bodyfat measurer in it (who knows how accurate, but it's the only one I've got), and you have to let it weigh you to get to the bodyfat percentage part. I moved a household of four people and one dog during this process. As well, I have gone from having a 6 week old baby to a 4 month old baby. I've lost 26 pounds. Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Day 61: I have no idea what time it is. So Daylight Savings Time began again this weekend, and it always throws me for a loop. When DST is in effect, my body loses all sense of what time it is. I know it's only an hour's difference from standard time, but I become so time-disoriented! Saturday, October 2, 2010. What I've learned - pt. 1 - food. So I'm done. I still can't believe that I made it. I've been so hungry. The fiber is an amazing wonder. Before doing pcp, I was aware in an abstract way that food is the body's fuel and that what you eat affects how you feel, but since I'd always been eating the same things I couldn't really see how better food makes you feel better.
